Would like to ask any of you in here. For 2018 movies, what were those movies that you found surprisingly good or great? I don't mean those blockbusters - superhero movies, franchises etc - but those that were considered "small" or low-budget films.

Mine were Upgrade and Sorry to Bother You. I think there are some others, but these two are the most memorable ones for me.

Would like to know your guys' so that maybe I can try and check them out.

That is a really serious list there. I googled each of them, and each are well-reviewed. Thanks a lot mumbai.

Hereditary is one film I really wanted to see, totally forgot about it.

Thanks again mumbai. Put some on my list, but not all. I'm not so much of a fan of films with 1800s or early 1900s setup, as well as country films (those with horses and such) so I'll leave those for now.

Watched the rider and an elijah wood movie called - i don't feel at home in this world anymore. Will recommend both.

If you are ok with slow paced movies then the rider is a must watch. can't stop thinking about the movie and is easily the best movie i have watched in a long time.
