Bone Tomahawk.

Its not a recent film, but interested to watch it after watching Dragged Across Concrete (same director). It's a western film. A horror western film to be precise (mind you, it is not supernatural horror).

The pace is slow, similar to Dragged Across Concrete. It might be painful for some, but not for me. I love it. Some epic funny scenes as well (I love the scene when the old guy reacted to one of the other character said "smart men don't get married"). Kurt Russell as a sheriff, and his deputy (the old guy I mentioned earlier) are two of my favourite characters in this film.

The last 30 minutes or so of the film is totally brutal and violent.

(sorry for the *SPOILER*)Some of the characters died , but the film ended satisfyingly. This is a truly five-star film.

I've watched three films from this same director. Each of them was truly awesome. I'm looking forward for his next, definitely.

I watched these again recently- the other one is Brawl in cell block 99. Really enjoyable - the scene in the cave is brutal.
