What films are people most looking forward to this year? I was looking through a list of forthcoming movies on a cinema website and saw very little that got me excited, though I would like to see the Tupac movie, All Eyes On Me.

One of some that I'm looking forward to is Bad Boys 3. I enjoyed the previous 2, especially the 2nd. The explosions, the gunfights, the chase scenes, umph!!!

{Ed001's Note - really? I never knew that there was a third one on the way, or that anyone actually enjoyed the first two.... ;-)

I think I was a bit off the topic. Bad Boys 3 is not exactly an upcoming film, right?

It was. But Carnahan pulled out. They pushed the release date a bit further, so that might means that they are still going to do it.

Back to the topic, I like the look of Hitman's Bodyguard and A Ghost Story.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, when is BB3 due out? I mean I would include Wonder Woman, Spiderman: Homecoming myself. I just wish Black Panther, the new Avengers movie and Deadpool 2 were due out soon!}

I think you are trying to be a bit sarcastic there Ed1, but luckily I couldn't really get it haha

{Ed001's Note - me? Never mate!}

Ok ok you weren't.

I've been waiting for someone to start a topic in here since it was quite quiet here in the past few days (lots are really excited after the West Ham game I think).

You started on this new upcoming film, so wanted to ask, you or any others enjoyed the Hellboy movies?

Read last week that they are making a new one, more like a reboot; new director and no more Perlman of course.

For me, I kinda hated the two Hellboy movies. In fact, I hated almost all Del Toro's movies apart from Pan's Labyrinth. I kinda like the Hellboy character (read only some of the comics though), but it kinda annoyed me reading the reviews and praises as if like the two Hellboy movies were stunning. Visually, yes, especially the monsters designs. Other than that; story, script, acting etc, NO.

So, I hope they make it way better this time, and I'm really forward for it. Not sure if they have started making it or not yet, but they already have a director, so maybe it will come out eventually.

Kind of gone off movies, they don't seem to be making any that are really worth spending money on. I think the only new release I watched recently was Passangers two months ago with my now ex girlfriend.

I might watch the new Alien movie when I get the chance but that's probably it.

Was looking forward to dark tower but less so since trailer, but new IT looks like it could be really good! Just wish it wasn't two parts. Besides that is the expected ones, Spider-Man etc

I'm with you on the new IT movie it's got me pretty excited,I know what you mean about it being 2 part however I'm hoping this is due to the fact they are following the novel closely because if they are they would never get all the detail into one movie,going by the trailer I'm really excited to see Bill skarsgaard as pennywise,he looks amazing,as good as curry was in the 1st IT the clown was nothing like he was in the novel,I'm just praying it's not a case of trailer being better than the movie!!

{Ed007's Note - Wasn't the original IT done over two movies? I remember my Mrs banging on about how scary it was for years and when I eventually watched it it was over 2 parts - and not very scary.
Same old story that the film massively lets the book down.}

Can't remember if the original was one or two movies, but read a bit about it and meant to basically install more of the gore/graphic parts of the novel into the new film and make penny wise more genuinely horrifying. From what I've read meant to incorporate more of the dark stuff from the novel which hopefully doesn't come across in a weird way would make the film better as penny wise is meant to evil incarnate.

Agreed with you Roland on Dark Tower. The trailer didn't excite me much. Showed some of fancy gun moves and that was all. Maybe it was one of the rare trailers that didn't show much of the film, but it fails to excite me.

IT does look good though.

Annoying thing is the cool gun tricks fits in with what's in the books. but the rest doesn't! Still think with it being based of seven fairly long books it would have been a far better to series rather than film

yes the original was a 2 part tv series,i remember as a kid being terrified by it,however when revisited not so long ago I realised how crap it is,especially after reading the book.As long as it follows the book more closely ill be happy and won't go in expecting it to be better than the novel as they will never get all the detail from book to screen

{Ed007's Note - It was probably scarier when it first came out but it hasn't aged well at all. The book is excellent and I'm going to dig it out to read again now lol.}

"Dune" could be interesting with Dennis Villeneuve directing it.
