Wonder Woman 1984

I would say, the somehow high expectation I had before watching it, it paid off.

It is quite long, maybe a bit too long, but I like the story, the humours, the drama, but perhaps it needs a bit more action especially during the first hour. Talking about action scenes, I really like the car chase scene at the desert, and the duel with Cheetah. One sequence at the start of the film, does give a retro, old-school vibe, which I like.

Some parts of the ending are a bit too dramatic, but its not just the ending really. There are some other parts, throughout the film, feel cheesy as well.

I didn't enjoy the first Wonder Woman and I really didn't get all the hypes it was getting. This sequel, for me, is miles better than the first. It's not great, but I enjoyed it a lot.

This one isn't that good either, but at least watchable. And its 80s setup is quite nice actually. It was fun, but I won't be watching it again. Maybe my "high expectation" was simply "better than the first".

{Ed001's Note - I would expect pretty much anything to be better than the first, the DC films have been almost entirely terrible. Only the Dark Knight trilogy is quality.}

It's decent but not that great. Worth a watch if you have nothing else.
