Hi Ed. Thanks for the post to this site. As if I don't spend enough time scrolling down the rumours of LFC enough. ha ha

Couple of questions if I may?

1st, what's your favourite film of all time buddy?

2nd, do you watch a lot of British films?

{Ed001's Note - 1. Probably Enter The Dragon. It was the first martial arts film I ever watched and sparked an obsession with Bruce Lee, martial arts and martial arts films that I still have to this day.

2. I do watch them if I see them. They are a very mixed bag though, some are utter cack, others can be very good.}

Dead mans shoes. Shane meadows directs it.
Guy behind the This is England trilogy. Have you seen that?

I put my kids in front of the Goonies (best film ever made)
They panned it!! I cried, as good as CGI is, kids need to appreciate classic made films

British. Stevens, Hardy, Hoult those are some British actors whom I really like.

Are Sunshine and Dredd considered as British movies?

{Ed001's Note - I have seen Dead Man's Shoes a while back when it first shone on one of the movie channels, because it was by him, but I can't really recall it at all. Was it about a hitman in the Midlands or something? I loved This Is England, fantastic film.

I can't believe anyone would pan The Goonies! It is awesome.

Sunshine is defo a British movie, depends on which version of Dredd you mean? The Sly Stallone one wasn't, but the more recent (and far superior one) was.}

I meant the recent Dredd Ed01. Urban was awesome in it, right? Though the story some tend to relate it with The Raid, but I don't really care.

I hope they will be doing a sequel, but sadly it seems that they won't.

Did you enjoy Sunshine ed? I have kinda mixed feeling about it. It started OK, but when it came to the final part of it, that final part really ruined everything for me.

I did hear that 2000AD had commissioned for a dread 2!!
I hope so, it is a great character.

An army officer goes back to the midlands after his brother gets in with the wrong crowd.

{Ed001's Note - I would like to see a second Dredd film.

Ah ok, I have seen it, I just can't remember much of it.}

Talking about British, they actually got lots of great talents. Godzilla's Edwards is British, Travis of Dredd is, Tom Hardy of course, and even Jordan Henderson is!!

I liked Sunshine, had no idea it was a British movie.

Some others I enjoyed were Children of Men and Creep. I mean Creep was no oscar winning movie or anything, it was just a lot better than I was expecting.
Children of Men I saw via what was at the time NTL on demand. I paid a penny for it and thought it was awesome. The scene in Brighton with the huge refugee camp that's being attacked by the Army was a really well made scene especially.

{Ed001's Note - Children of Men is a really good film.}

Hsf, the car or bike chase scene was awesome. I couldn't think of any other as good as that scene. Breathtaking.

There are many great scenes in it, but I still say this scene was just, wow.

That scene was sweet as well.

I think it showcased how good some of the Mexican directors, Cuaron and Inarritu especially. They captured the audiences through gorgeous and breathtaking cinematography.

I would love to highlight Gravity in particular. The story was actually straightforward IMO, but the scenes, the scores within the scenes, and sometimes there weren't much scores but just silence that really works for me.

Have you guys watched Birdman and The Revenant? I felt a bit mixed with Birdman, but couldn't deny the super long take scenes in it were awesome. As for the Revenant, the bear attack scene was awesome, and I really enjoyed the film as a whole.

{Ed001's Note - Gravity was truly dreadful, but a work of art compared to the complete dross that was Birdman, imo. Hated both films.}
