13 Hours. I loved most of Bay's films, up until the 2nd Transformers. Most of his recent films, especially Transformers, full of crap vulgar humours which I found rather disgusting than funny. Previous films, yes too, only that I still managed to enjoy them. Maybe the 2nd Transformers, I felt that it was too much and too annoying I couldn't no longer enjoy them.

It seems like it is one of his trademark, to add these kind of things in his films. But it's quite different with 13 hours. It felt more serious (there were still some slight humours, but for me, not as stupid as those in his previous films), and this maybe because the fact that this film is based on a true story.

I didn't care much about the story, whether it was indeed a true story, or maybe it was already altered or twisted to please the target audience. The idea of the story, soldiers who defended their fellow countrymen, stayed strong and fought even when they were outnumbered, worked just fine for me.

It was a solid action film, I enjoyed the battle scenes, even though they were not as big as most of his previous films.

Bay should make more of this kind of films; a bit more serious, and less stupid jokes.

I will definitely give this a watch I think, did you ever watch Pain and Gain ? I went out my way to not watch this because Micheal Bay directed and Marky Mark was in it but when I finally did I was somewhat surprised at how good this movie was.

Hi Shadrak. You meant Pain and Gain? Yeah I've watched it before, more than once actually. I was surprise of myself that I actually enjoyed it too. When talked about Bay in the original post, I totally forgot about this film. It still did have those stupid jokes, yeah, but I think it was the story that really captured my attention.

{Ed001's Note - that was a surprisingly good film to be fair.}
