A few films I've watched recently:

The Hunger games(part 3) - I really liked part 1 and 2 but found 3 just the same old same old, after about 1 hour I was completely bored with it and switched it off. 3/10

Mad Max - Not a bad film with lots of action, Hardy is fast becoming a favourite actor of mine, the one thing that annoyed me with this film is that some scenes looked as though they were put on fast forward, it was almost like an old Benny Hill scene at times. 7/10

The Maze(part 2) - This is a film that had some bad reviews about it, I thought it was ok, nothing special but nowhere near as bad as I was led to believe. 6/10

Hunger games was disappointing but the second half picked up. Was a set up film for the finale.

Watched Legend last night, I thought it was spot on, Tom Hardy IMO was brilliant, I really liked his Ron Character, he can play the nutter quite well.

{Ed003's Note - looking forward to seeing this cheers herbie.}

Watched the movie 'Kingsman, The secret service' the other night.
Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Caine, not to bad really.

Had it arrive on rental. Was going to watch it at weekend. But just got notice of redundancy consultation so not really in the mood now.

{Ed001's Note - sorry to hear that Mort, good luck for the future. Kingsman is ok though when you do get a chance, might cheer you up a bit as it is quite funny.}

Was expecting it some point. Bit earlier than expected though. Chance of a job at the end of it. But maybe best to move on. Fresh start an all that. Thanks though mate.

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed it works out for the best.}

If anyones into conspiracy films try 'Kill the messenger', pretty good film based on true events.

HERBIE

{Ed001's Note - is it recent? I have not heard of it to be honest, who is in it?}

1.) 23 Dec 2015 15:31:41
Its 2014 Ed I believe.
About a journalist called Gary Webb, you may remember he was found dead in his apartment, apparent suicide, shot in the back of the head. twice. Thtas all i'll say for now :-)

{Ed001's Note - I have never heard of him, that I can think of anyway, sorry. I will have a look for it though.}

2.) 23 Dec 2015 21:26:46

It was a good watch to be fair, the Rock actually played his part really well and made me laugh at times which is very unusual because he really can't act. 7.5/10

HERBIE

{Ed007's Note - Of course he can act lol Have you watched wrestling? My Mrs is at me to se if that new Ghostbusters is on KODI yet, you see what I'm up against? Films from a woman whose entire act is she's fat, Roseanne Barr done that 30 years ago!}

Well I was intrigued by this so I went and looked it up.
10 Cloverfield road is absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the Cloverfield film. General gist of the film is that a female has a car accident then wakes up in someone's (John Goodman) basement, John tells the female there's been a nuclear war and it goes on from there, it actually does sound like its worth watching.
Absolutely no big a$$ monster's smashing buildings to pieces.

HERBIE

{Ed001's Note - it sounds a lot less interesting to me!}

Going by the first one I think I will give this one a very wide berth, the first was absolute tosh, a complete waste of 90ish minutes.

HERBIE

{Ed007's Note - I can't argue with that. It was one of those movies the Mrs made me watch and it was unbelievably even worse than how bad I expected it to be. I'd rather watch videos of dogs shitting than the sequel.}

Watched that last night and yea, really good movie but got very confusing towards the end.
One of the best movies I've seen in a long while 👍

HERBIE

{Ed001's Note - I have seen it but can't remember much about it. Maybe I need to watch it again?}
