Hi ed001 saw that you like martial arts films just wondered if you have seen kung-fu full hustle and what you thought of it
{Ed001's Note - I don't like that or Shaolin Soccer myself. Just doesn't work for me. I prefer something such as Arahan, it is a Korean martial arts film. Though my main preference is more 'real' stuff, without the wires and stuff, like Ong Bak. If it has to be the wire-flying stuff, I would recommend films such as the Legend of Fong Sai Yuk films with Jet Li in them.}

You mentioned Korean martial arts. Have you watched I Saw The Devil or The Man from Nowhere? Though both are not exactly martial arts movies, but both did have some really awesome fight scenes.
{Ed001's Note - not yet, I will add them to my 'to watch' list. There was another one I saw that wasn't really a martial arts film, I just can't think what it was called. It was actually a Korean Western, in essence, though set in Korea, it had the feel of the old cowboy films and was set in that time period.}

I will start this post by stating that I am not a fan of rodent smuggling lothario Richard Gere, but I have just watched a Film called the benefactor and it's superb.
Beautifully shot,great script and the best performance I have ever seen from Gere it is not an easy watch with many uncomfortable moments but definitely worth a watch if you enjoy a good drama.

If that's the type of film your into, i'd recommend The Hunt with Mads Mikkelson, a danish film. It's a fairly raw watch but it really got me thinking. Brilliant performances.

Is Bellew any good? I was going to go and see it when I got a chance but it finished showing round here before I did.

Michael b Jordan is superb as apollo s son and Tony bellew was really very good. The fighting sequences are excellent and really capture the feel of the old films which gives the movie a real feelgood vibe.
Couple of good cameos too for the boxing fans.
Up until I saw this my fave film of the year was straight Outta Compton but this has just nudged it of the top. Great film.

Just wondering with the year coming to an end andate all what everyone's favourite movie of the year was ?
Mine was straight Outta Compton.
Thought it was going to be terrible but I haven't enjoyed anything more all year.
