I'm Probably late to the party on this one but just watched venom
I thought it was utter garbage. Bad acting and a bad script/ story.

1.) 16 Jun 2019 22:14:57
I watched Venom with a friend, we both thought it was quite fun to watch. However I got really confused. I figured Venom was a villain, but in the movie he came across as a guy who was willing to at least try and be "good".

2.) 16 Jun 2019 22:18:04
You're not alone on that one, a superhero movie that belongs in 1990 even then it may be visually outmatched and isn't anywhere near blade. At least we got see she-venom I guess

Just been to see the film 'green book.
Probably one of the best films I've seen in years. I would expand more, but just go see it if ya get the chance to. It's drama, serious, funny all rolled into 1. Great film.

Anyone looking forward to creed 2?. Have to admit been wanting to see Ivan drago in a rocky film for years.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate I am. I have free tickets for the cinema to use as well, might have to use them for that.}

Being a boxing fan, I do kinda cringe at Boxing movies, the only exception is the Ali movie, where the Boxing actually looked like Boxing(for the most part).

2.) 01 Dec 2018 00:52:43
Not really a fan of boxing movies, but I really like Balboa and Southpaw. Haven't got a chance to watch Creed yet, but maybe I'll give it a try. Seems both 1 and 2 really like by the critics.

3.) 10 Dec 2018 09:26:46
Speaking of Dolph Lundgren over on the Liverpool page Ed, brought me here. Did you get to watch creed 2? I am wanting to because it looks quality but there's still no bloody stream online for it (not that I can find anyway) which surprises me, I wonder why that is.

{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen it yet. I have free tickets for the cinema (hence why I go so much as I always have a free ticket for paying my phone bill and saving the points you get) but just can't decide whether to use them for Creed or save them up for the child-friendly Deadpool 2.}

4.) 10 Dec 2018 10:29:09
Ah that's good Ed, I used to get free cinema tickets years ago, I think it was from the orange network but that must've been about 15 years ago now. If I were in your shoes it's be creed mate but I haven't seen any of the Deadpools.

5.) 10 Dec 2018 18:18:44
I get discounted tickets from work, you buy the ticket then book what you want to see at whatever chain and use the machine the foyer. I've got a couple left of the last lot I ordered. Tempted to do Creed just a case of finding the time to see it at this time of year.

6.) 12 Dec 2018 23:58:33
I literally JUST found a stream of it but its a CAM copy, bloody terrible lol can't watch them like that. That's half of my problem Mort is finding the time to get to the cinema and watch it!

Ed or anyone, seen any good movies recently?
Did anyone see the new predator movie? If so what was it like?

{Ed001's Note - only thing I have seen lately was Venom and I enjoyed that. Not seen Predator, wasn't sure if I wanted to see yet another remake of a film I loved.}

1.) 11 Oct 2018 19:09:47
Yeah same ed. I never watched the remake of Robocop for that same reason, love the original. Next they will be remaking the goonies probably.

{Ed001's Note - I am pretty sure that is in the pipeline, because I remember reading an article about 'where are they now?' about the original cast because of it. Sometimes you should just re-release the originals rather than remake them. Goonies is one of those, you just can't redo it.}

So watched Vince Vaughans brawl in cell block 99. Have to say it's an amazing film. Slow starter, great story and the action is fantastic. I would go as far and say it's one of the best films I've seen in the last year or so.

{Ed001's Note - I can't say I ever thought I would read those words regarding a Vince Vaughan film!}

1.) 10 May 2018 06:38:38
I thought the same ed, but he actually nails it. I actually really think it is a film you would enjoy. Some of the fighting in it is simple but fantastic.

{Ed001's Note - I have to admit, I looked at that listed and was put off because he was in it. I will check it out when I get some spare time now you have recommended it.}

2.) 11 May 2018 22:04:28
Great recommendation mad max, to be fair I don't mind Vaughan’s films even if he does play the same character in all of them. I was intrigued to see how he did in a ‘serious’ film. And I think it’s fair to say he probably suits them more then he does comedy. The fights are awesome and second mad max’s Recommendation.

Agree, brawl in cell block 99 is one of the best original films I've seen for a while.
Really want to watch dragged across concrete.

Yeah I suppose your right.
The film's qith nic cage, face off, con air, the rock, loved them all but admitedley they were good stories, or maybe just guilty pleasure films.

Yep agree with the top 3. Nic cage mid 90s was good, keanu in bill and ted, Johnny depp in fear and loathing not bad in them parts. The rest i agree with.
Christian bale is crap, don't see the hype, even as batman he was the worst thing about it, thankfully the stories and other actors made it good.

{Ed001's Note - I couldn't stand Cage at any time, did good films but he was terrible in them. Never seen fear and loathing but would have no interest in watching it if Depp is in it as I know it will be crap. I loved Bill and Ted but it was not exactly acting skill that made those films!}

I actually really liked mortal kombat when I was a kid.
Bloodsport was one of van dammes best.

{Ed001's Note - Bloodsport may even be the best film he did, though one he did fairly recently is probably better. Where he wakes up and finds out they have taken a body part. Or the one where he is a butcher is not too bad either. I can't remember what either are called.

I did a top 10 on the TV site as I had them in my mind while doing this list, it is amazing how many other TV shows and films come to mind the minute you finish one list!}

Nice list ed.
Glad the raid made it on, great film.
I'm surprised mortal kombat or street fighter never made the list

{Ed001's Note - thankfully I had forgotten those films. I know it is hard to believe a list of martial arts films could be complete without JCVD though. He is a legend in his own pint glass after all and very adept at annoying stunt men into kicking his arse in nightclubs.....}
